Alto Music. Probably the best music store I have ever set foot in! The can get you anything at a better price than anyone on the net. The staff is the most knowledgeable of any store in the area.

Mary Noecker. Bass Player Extraordinaire. Whether you need fat electric funk, R&B, British Invasion, or Upright Bluegrass she can deliver.

Bill Popp and The Tapes. Bill has got to be one of the most prolific, longest running Brit Power Pop acts in NYC.

Woodrow “Pack” Landfair. A fantastic writer, storyteller, orator, adventurer, and all around cool guy.

The Quays Pub. Best bar in NYC. Favorite hang for underground celebrities in NYC. Bluegrass Jam every Sunday and Open Mic every Thurs.

CityGrace Church. With a fantastic congregation, great music, and relaxed low-key attitude CityGrace is a great place to worship. Whether you are steadfast in you devotion or looking to explore and learn they are welcoming and have created a true community with several external groups meeting throughout the city on various days. Weekly services are Sunday Morning from 11-12:30 or so. Meetings are in a movie theater on 66 3rd Ave.


Olde Prague Tavern. Astoria’s Newest Bar. Great Czech beers, some great scotches, 80 inch TV installed by Astor Audio. You can’t go wrong. Catch them on a big soccer night!
